OEM Imaging

Scientific CMOS, CCD & EMCCD Cameras for OEM Integration

OEM Goals > Accelerated Development

When you work with Photometrics and QImaging for your OEM project, you’ll realize two major benefits:

#1 The breadth of QImaging and Photometrics product portfolios, combined with decades of OEM experience, ensures that your design targets can be met in the shortest time possible, without compromising your unique requirements.
#1 Our knowledge on camera optimization in instrument design, backed by responsive OEM specialists, ensures you meet your cost and performance targets in the most expedient way possible.

Photometrics and QImaging recognize that time is money, especially when a new product opportunity is identified and resources are limited and in some cases, nonexistent. These projects require additional imaging expertise and manufacturing process knowledge to ensure an expedient design, development and successful commercialization.

From product inception to go-to-market, the development process must be exceptionally efficient and fast. Our long history of OEM experience and knowledge combined with our broad-range of proven solutions and processes, ensures your success.

A dedicated team of OEM specialists provide unparalleled responsiveness to ensure your project is not stalled, waiting for answers – while our expertise helps guide the correct product selection the first time. This specialized knowledge of camera performance is not only critical for speeding development, as it often results in a low cost, but properly optimized product, outperforming a far more expensive solution.

Our ability to accelerate development is based on many capabilities:

  • Our broad range of existing products and imaging technologies often results in an off-the-shelf solution requiring only minor modifications.  In some cases, the only customization required is a customer defined BOM to ensure the product configuration, software and firmware revisions, and performance validation, are fully under your own revision control.
  • A universal camera architecture, known as PVCAM, abstracts camera hardware details allowing full software development to begin on day one, then easily switch to the desired camera when available.  This universal approach also applies to developing on an OS like MS Windows, in advance of deploying to an embedded system running Linux on ARM.
  • Our integrative design practices utilize the latest full 3D modeling and Flow Simulation to optimize camera performance in your instruments.  Our contribution often extends to advice on optics selection, data processing, and signal processing.
